We can’t solve all the world’s problems this morning, but we can solve some of our own. As we truly think about freedom, not freedom to do what we want, or what we think we want, or to live our lives the way we want regardless of how it affects others, not selfish freedom… but true freedom.

The kind of freedom that actually does set us free. The freedom that Jesus promised us.

When Jesus came, he said that he had come to earth to ‘Proclaim Freedom’ Luke 4:18. And in John 8:36 he said, if the son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

This is the freedom we should be celebrating, not just on a special weekend or special time of the year. But every day. This is the freedom we should live every day.
