LEADERSHIP
Brian Leonard has been the Lead Pastor since November of 2009. He and his family moved from Columbus, Ohio where Brian served as the Senior Minister for seven years. Before that, he was the Youth Minister at Harvester Christian Church in St. Charles, Missouri for eight years. While in St. Louis, he met and married his wife Pam and had two wonderful children; Bryson and Chloe. Brian graduated in 1993 from Manhattan Christian College in Manhattan, Kansas. He also earned a Masters of Ministry degree from Kentucky Christian College in 2002.
Everett Harwood is the Worship Pastor at Scottsdale Christian Church. He has been on staff since 2001 and is the founder of The Christ Project (Scottsdale Christian Church's praise and worship team). Everett has been singing and writing professionally for over 25 years, touring, recording, and writing with some of the music industry’s top professionals. His songs have found their way to motion pictures, national radio and broadcast television. He has worked with a wide variety of recording artists, as well as signing a number of different music deals, with EMI being one of the pinnacles of his success.
Scott Mathis has been our part time Children’s / Youth Pastor since October 2010. He was born and raised in a south suburb of Chicago. He and his wife Karrie have two daughters; Amy & Courtney. Amy is married and lives in Manhattan, KS. Courtney is a sophomore in high school. Scott has been a Chrysler mechanic for over 23 years. He has also served in children's & youth ministry as a volunteer for over 18 years. Scott is finishing his Bachelors degree in Theology from Summit Bible College in Bakersfield, Ca. His hobbies are playing XBOX, board games with family, drag racing, camping, and hiking.
Steve Vinson has been the Discipleship Pastor since June of 2011. He leads our Bible studies and small groups. Steve earned his Bachelor's degree from Florida Christian College and his M.A. from Cincinnati Christian University. He is also actively engaged in filmmaking and songwriting. In whatever form, Steve loves to tell the story of God’s amazing grace. He has been married to Lisa for 14 years. They have two daughters; Charlee and Darynn.
Marlene Wallace is the Administrative Assistant at Scottsdale Christian Church. She has been with us since August of 2010. Marlene is an organizational genius who fixes all of Brian’s work problems. She loves her husband Eddie and riding motorcycles. They have lived in Arizona for 15 years.
Pam Leonard is the Involvement Director at Scottsdale Christian Church. She oversees the ministries at the church and is here to assist people in finding their place of service. Pam is a relational genius who fixes all of Brian's personal problems.
Len Camp is our Counselor. He has his Masters of Christian Counseling and a Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Counseling. Len is licensed by the state of Arizona and has counseled families for the past 18 years. He understands and counsels people experiencing grief and loss, marital difficulties and other emotional problems.
Steve deWolfe joined the elders in 2011. He currently serves in the benevolence and facilities ministries. A retired pool business owner, Steve describes himself as a wretched sinner saved by grace to perform God's work. Steve has been married to his best friend Laura for 35 years. They have two children; Jeremy and Christina.
John Folse has been an elder since 2001. He oversees the church finances and teaches a Bible study. John has been a church leader for 40 years. He and his wife Susan have two children and two grandchildren. John has a goal to play every golf course in Arizona.
