• SCC's Food Pantry Needs Your Help!!!....
This event has no date or time, for hunger doesn't keep a schedule and never takes a holiday. Our food supplies are running very low and this impacts our ability to help those in need who are without enough household food stores. Donations of non-perishable food items are always welcome and can be dropped off at SCC at Sunday service or when it is convenient. Email us or call us @ 480.946.4583 for more info on how you can help or to schedule a time to drop off a donation.

• SCC MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) Begins Saturday, September 18th...
MOPS will meet the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 10:00am to 12:00pm beginning September 18th. All mothers of preschoolsers are invited to join us for speakers, crafts and fun in Classroom 101. Childcare will be provided. Jules Drake and Courteny Drollinger are the coordinators of SCC's MOPS. • SCC Mission Impossible Summer Challenge....
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to make a commitment in these three area. We will chart the progress in the worship auditorium.

• Prayer Meetings and New Testament Bible Studies are Every Tuesday....
Join us every Tuesday from 6:00pm to 7:00pm for a prayer meeting in the main church. You can join in group prayer or pray individually anywhere you like. Then from 7:00pm to 8:15pm, there is a Bible Study in the worship center to celebrate and study the New Testament. Childcare and snacks will be provided. • Experiencing God Bible Study Has Begun....
Want to learn how to see where God is working and how to join Him? Want to experience God in a new way? The 13 week Experiening God Bible Study is beginning Sunday, June 13th during 2nd service. The ladies of SCC held their annual get together recently and as usual it was a smash. This is an extended gallery and showcases the beautiful table settings as well as the lovely ladies that attended this year. Some of the guys even did their part and served as waiters.

• SCC's Women's Ministry Monthly Breakfast....![]()
The ladies of SCC get together to support, encourage and edify each other for fellowship and fun! Breakfasts are always the second Saturday of the Month. The time is 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m and all women are welcome. Feel free to bring a dish to share!

• SCC's Thanksgiving Turkey Bowl 2009, Thursday, November 26th....![]()
On Thursday, November 26, SCC held its annual Thanksgiving morning Turkey Bowl football game at El Dorado Park in Scottsdale. As usual, it was a spirited event full of competition and athletic prowness. A great time was had by all!

• SCC's Fall Festival 2009, Sunday, November 8th....![]()
On Sunday, November 8, SCC held its first ever Fall Festival. The turnout was huge and the entire thing was a smashing success. The event consisted of carnival games, raffles, cake sales, concessions and multiple acts of live music.

The Men's MInistry welcomed all to a wonderful celebration of the great people who make up our church. Food, fun and fellowship were the party theme and it was a great time for all to catch up or meet someome new. Thanks to Ed and Marlene Wallace for putting on a great party

• Women's Mother/Daughter Tea Party, Saturday, May 9th....![]()
The SCC Women's Group held their second annual mother/daughter tea party, although any ladies were invited to attend. This year's theme was "mad hatter" and many of the ladies responded with a wide variety of hats and fashions. There was a large turnout for this event and several SCC men served as waiters for the ladies. Guest speaker, Dr. Kristin Beasley, discussed motherhood related issues and the legacy and lessons that mothers can pass on to their daughters. Musical entertainment was provided and a good time was had by all.

• Women's Breakfast & Adoption Shower, Saturday, May 2nd....![]()
The SCC Women's Group held their monthly Saturday morning breakfast get-together. This time they had special reason to celebrate as a new member of the Church was welcomed into the fold. Everybody said hi to Darlene and she confessed to her parents, John and Laura, that she got quite a few hugs (and gifts) from the ladies. Her parents, by the way, are very appreciative to the group for putting this together.

• Mike Laffey Memorial Service, Saturday, April 11th...
Mike Laffey was a beloved member of SCC's house band, The Christ Project, and his recent passing
was a great loss to the Church. Mike is gone, but
not forgotten, and a spirited Memorial Service on April 11th was uplifting and humorous, just as he would have wanted it.

Our members recently helped to spruce up the Church on Super Bowl Sunday before the big game and then went home to cheer on the Cardinals! Of course, we all know how that story ended.
